He was 3rd in single speed men. Personally - I was pumped to ratchet down from my usual 75th percentile to 55th percentile finish in Cat 4 Men. Good enough start for my rookie racing year. Was also happy to contribute materially when we showed up 2.5 hours early (oops - we thought the 9:30 race was at 8:00) and chipped in by running out for 9 rolls of TP which seemed to help the organizers avoid a major revolt! …
